PC Gaming Deals
PC GAMERS can get some of the best deals in gaming, as there are free games given away every week. This week you can grab Callisto Protocol and Gigantic for free on the Epic Games Store, but there’s another game that PC gamers can pick up for free. If you have a free GoG account, you can add Tropico 4 to your GoG gaming library for free with no strings attached.
Tropico 4 has a 78 rating on review aggregate site Metacritic, and while it is an older game, it still has a dedicated fanbase. First released in 2011, there are newer entries in the city-building simulation series, but the fourth entry remains popular. The Tropico series is a management sim series, where you will need good strategic knowledge to optimally build your empire. You play as El Presidente as you try to build up your country and establish yourself as a world power. This entry introduced a number of new building types such as a stock exchange, shopping mall, and aqua park. There will also be natural disasters, political decisions, and trade with other nations which you will have to manage.
The blurb reads: The world is changing and Tropico is moving with the times - geographical powers rise and fall and the world market is dominated by new players with new demands and offers - and you, as El Presidente, face a whole new set of challenges.
If you are to triumph over your naysayers you will need to gain as much support from your people as possible.
Your decisions will shape the future of your nation, and more importantly, the size of your off-shore bank account.
Tropico 4 usually costs £12.99/$14.99, so you will save a good amount of money by picking it up for free. There’s no strings attached to this offer, so even if you’re not interested in city builders you can try it out at no risk. All you need is a GoG account so that you can add games to your library and you are good to go. GoG is a DRM-free service, meaning that you won’t need a launcher like Steam or the Epic Games Store if you want to play. Instead, games will launch directly from your computer, making it one of the easiest ways to play PC titles.
